Lotto Super 7 is one of Canada's national lottery games. Drawn every Friday night, it has become a staple with Canadian lottery players. Jackpots start at a guaranteed $2.5 million (Canadian dollars), and is carried over if no ticket matches all 7 numbers. The largest jackpot awarded was in May 2002, in which 4 winners shared a $37.8 million jackpot (Canadian dollars).
Players choose to play 7 numbers from 1 to 47. Seven regular numbers and one Bonus number are drawn. There are 7 ways to match and win. To win the jackpot you must match the seven regular numbers. One ticket in 6 wins a prize!!
The Lotto Super 7 game is run by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation which works with various Provincial lottery corporations. The Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) is an organization that operates lottery games in Canada. It is owned jointly by its member provincial lottery commissions. ILC's headquarters are located in Toronto, Ontario.

All winning tickets under $990 (Canadian dollars) per play may be claimed at any participating Lotto Super 7 retailer participating in cashing. Trillonario.com will redeem your ticket and we will either credit it to your subscription or send you your winnings. We will typically have your winnings within 2 or 3 days after the draw date.
Winning tickets of $990 (Canadian dollars) or more per play may only be claimed directly from the ILC or from any of its Provincial Corporations. To claim a prize over $990 (Canadian dollars) you must submit a claim form and the original ticket to the ILC. We will send you the forms and assist you in submitting your tickets to the ILC.
If you win more than $250,000 (Canadian dollars) you must appear in person at the ILC Prize Centre headquarters in Toronto. We will make arrangements to personally hand you the ticket before you go.
All tickets generated by the lottery terminal expire 12 months after the draw date on the ticket.

Taxes
Generally, Canadian tax authorities do not consider lottery winnings to be taxable for Canadian tax purposes. However, U.S. residents playing ILC lotteries should note that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) does consider such winnings to be subject to U.S. tax. While ILC will not withhold the U.S. tax against Canadian winnings, U.S. residents must report such profits on their individual tax returns. As an example, look at the prizes on September 13, 2005. The jackpot was $200 million. Nobody won the jackpot but notice the distribution of the secondary prizes in California. The jackpot rolled over to $250 million and one person won it on the next drawing on September 16!
